| From
the Higher Degree of DUB University, here
comes the Mad Professor once again with some
serious cases from his ARIWA STUDIO's.
Ever since he started releasing his music
in the 1980's, the Mad Professor has been a
name to reckon with. When he's not recording
and mixing in his Studio's, he's all over
the world doing the same thing in front of a
live audience.
He works with bands, digital devices,
some of the best Reggae vocalists (Horace
Andy, Michael Prophet), and in every DUB
album he releases, you'll find different
things, developments, different Trix In The
Mix.
This album was originally released in the
summer of 2001 and contains a set of 15
superb DUB tracks. To be played in one
sequence, with some serious bass on your
speakers. Oh yes, a draw or two wouldn't do
you any harm either.
The music is variable. From militant
steppers to some easy skankers, it's all
there. Between the tracks, you'll hear
effected soundscapes emphasizing the themes
in the titles.
Trix In the Mix is the kind of album you
put on to realize how DUB is a true form of
art. Mad Professor's work of art is in the
mix. He can transform a multi-track
recording into totally several totally
different DUBS.
Trix In The Mix, seen. The fact that Mad
Professor uses the same ground-track for
completely different mixes is just one.
If you sit down and really listen to the
constant change of atmospheres created by
the hands of a true DUB Master, you will
hear more and more every time you put this
album on.
