VIBRONICS - DUB FIRE (LUSH 7")

UK based Steve Vibronics started creating digital Dub riddims in the mid 1990's. Heavily inspired by the Aba Shanti I Sound system, he soon discovered a talent to create very catchy riddims.

In a relatively short time he managed to achieve a unique sound. By developing his talents, doors were opened and now every UK DUB and Techno Lover recognizes his sound.

Stuff that makes you move and groove to the rhythm of some very unique DUB vibes.

Even further: Those who know DigiDub, acknowledge Vibronics as one of the tone-setters in this branch of Reggae Music.

And it's all in the mix.

Take DUB FIRE, released by Lush Records on 7" vinyl single. It has a running bassline and a pumping one drop drums. But you won't hear that bassline straight from the top. Steve waits and waits and waits. He waits until you really start to feel some protest coming up!

Vibronics has a  way of making the tension quite unbearable. His mixes often start without the drum and bassline, and he really takes his time. Then when the bass and drum drop in, the stomach turns and babylon burns.

When you're able to create a crucial drum and bassline, that is.

Which is obviously the case with Vibronics and this Lush Release proofs it once again.

Once, and not twice. And that's about the only negative thing I can say about this release.

Because you will only find a DUB on the B-Side. The A-side is simply the "undubbed" version. And although that's not a unicity, in this case it would surely have been nicer when the instrumental was at least enriched by a vocal line...

The good news is, that you can download the DUB for free in a not-too-high bitrate.

So check the tune for yourself by visiting the Vibronics website, downloading the mp3 file and see if you do not feel an instant urge to support the independents and buy that 7"!

HOW TO GET THE 7": You have to visit the Vibronics Website and contact the webmaster to buy the vinyl single. There you can also download the B-side for free in a not too high bitrate MP3 file! VIBRONICS WEBSITE
